Re: Love & Marriage Nukkad
Love gurus, my 7 year anniversary coming up soon. Any ideas to please the SHQ's heart? I am thinking of delivering 7 different coloured roses to her office along with a dress she liked but didn't buy last time. Any experienced mullah tips? ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Actually anything you do ( roses / cl...

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - Oct 2017
I suspect most of us go to friday parties and behave like some thrice born white. But when it comes to political leaders, they had to be like next swamy vivekananda. Shame on people who keep harassing someone for living the life of her choice. Not one guy sticks his head out for any leader out ther...

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - Oct 2017
The other question this raises is why would an ex Army Chief attend this meeting. One can perhaps understand the diplomats and ministers who are/were all Cong pasand, but why Kapoor? was he also sympathetic to the old regime? I know he was appointed in MMS's time, but my understanding is that the C...

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - Oct 2017
^ Sadly, the lure of fame and recognition in the arts can be deadly for many who are otherwise hard working people in another field. Many a patriot has succumbed to the need to be applauded for mediocre capabilities in singing, acting or even writing poetry. All it takes is a gentle nudge and a sugg...

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - Oct 2017
^ The Congis are obfuscating for sure, because they have been caught with their pants down, pun intended. This is huge, if treated properly by the BJP and I agree completely with NaMo's approach on this. The media houses are complaining the BJP is using Pakistan to win Gujarat as it tried to do in o...

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - Oct 2017
any local news from phase 1 votes? How did BJP do? Dunno. Conflicting news in DDM as usual. ET e.g., claims some 40 seats in phase 1 are for BJP from North GJ. Some 68% voting happened. Higher is better for BJP usually. P.S. Did seem like NM exerted himself quote a bit this time. And bringing in em...

Re: Indian Economy - News & Discussion
It seems to me that some people here HAVE to rain on every post by anyone else, they only see their own vision (blinkered enough though it may be) for India's future. Very much like AAP supporters in the past who did not like the Congis but hated the BJP even more, believing in their own messiah - -...

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - Oct 2017
Appointing Yogi as the CM of UP was a true masterstroke by the BJP. It is the biggest and most important state in terms of its impact on Indian psyche and political value. If UP truly becomes a saffron nation in real terms it will trigger a tsunami of change across the entire nation.

Watching Zee TV, it seems that the polling would cross 70% this time, which is going to be more beneficial to the BJP. JetLi claiming it will be a landslide victory.

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - Oct 2017
I am quite confident BJP will win with a comfortable majority. 1. NaMo is a son of the soil and RaGa is an outsider. No matter how much anti-incumbency feeling there is, this trumps it in the eyes of the mango man. Regardless of the candidate on the ballot, they know they are essentially voting for ...

This forum has Christian (and hopefully, Muslim) members. Please share your candid opinion. Over the last year or two, my WhatsApp feed seems to show a clear trend. Christians and Muslims in my WA groups are openly anti-Modi and do not bother to hide it. There seem to be no exception. This is commo...

I too am part of similar WhatsApp groups. And I have also noticed this polarization, right after the Modi...

Healthcare is a minefield anywhere in the world. No system is perfect, no country is perfect, no doctor is perfect. The best you can hope for is that when you are ill, you will end up seeing a physician who is honest. He may still be incompetent and kill you, but that is a different problem altoget...

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - Oct 2017
^ The truth is that India's (or for that matter America's) voter usually thinks of a single issue. It may be abortion rights or gun rights or tougher immigration laws for the American while it may be Patidar, Yadav, Dalit, 'Islam Khatre mein ha' issue for the Indian. The average punter thinks 'what ...

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - Oct 2017
I am convinced that BJP will win in Gujarat though may not be with the thumping majority of UP. Modi Ji's name is still golden in his home state and now with the malicious slander that is being tossed around is sure to have repercussions among the aam junta. Sure, there will be a transfer of votes d...

^^ KJo, life is like that. The most important thing is that you do what seems like the right thing to do. I stopped worrying about anybody else's opinion a long time ago. my office MBP15" is due for refresh in 6 months. have used it daily for 30 months now with zero problems and not one loose nut or sw issue. pretty amazing even vs old legends like thinkpad t40 which I used and the W5xx series thinkpads which again I used two models. those had periodic issues albeit...

^ Prof. Juluri writes very well and with passion. His book 'Rearming Hinduism' is a worthy read, although IMHO it would have done so much better with a different title - it is hard to recommend it as people get put off by the idea of anything that appears to promote a militant form of Hinduism - tho...
