Hello, This is KarthikSan from BRF. I had to change my handle to KayShawn because I made a typo in my email ID during registration and the forum software wouldn't let me register again with the same username.

By the way, 'Bharat Ganrajya' in devanagri on the main page has not been translated . It is not 'Voice of India'. It would be 'Indian Republic'.

1. Devanagari is part of the logo. Consider it 'artwork', not 'text'
2. It is not "Voice of India". It is "Voice of the Republic". It is NOT a translation. It is a 'tagline'

There are layers of reasons for choosing this name, even though the process took only less than an hour.

And please don't get me wrong but this invites another question. If this is not going to grow and remained to be a 'child' forum of BRF then GDF mods of BRF could have resigned and hand over moderation to those interested, instead of going through this hassle of creating a completely new forum.

But anyway, here we are. And I am glad that we have retained this forum.

The threats against BR would have remained.

It is not a child forum. It is a 'branch family'. Not unlike the Maratha Confederacy . We will grow our own independent way, and work together for the common cause onlee.

The primary difference I think is, BRF is a scientist and BGR is an ITvty nerd.

nice to have branching off BRF.
In someways it is good.

if considering BRF as parent web site, it is time for children to grow and built its own life.
The umbilical cord is detached physically but the telation of parents to children exists forever. no one can separate the mother and father titles from their children. Even if children remain aloof and detached to its parents.

positives are many-- more numbers in membership, more websites for non members to gain some knowledge. more eyeballs for others irrespective of participation. primary effect is more awareness. esp not in burkaed form even non members gain.
who knows as we know children gain fame to their parents. Hope similarly happens to "BRF lets"

only negative I see is multiple login ins depending on number of brflets along with parent BRF.

forgot to mention that I came to know off BRF by accident searching for something. I hit on BRF website- got fascinated by discussion. became a lurker for few years(~5) before plunging headlong post Mumbai attacks.

Hopefully similar things happen for many new members or maybe faster with more brflets, more eyeballs on internet etc.

One of my relative families own a temple. They do not keep a hundi, or conduct any 'offerings' or 'pujas' for the visitors. Lots of people go there and pray. All they could do is to leave things like oil, incense etc at the front, and that may (or may not) be used at the 'srikovil'. Some people give 'dakshina' to the priest and get 'prasad' (flowers and sandal paste), that's all. All expenses of the temple is borne by the family members.

They do this not out of charity.
