Iraqis who have cleaned up hawija are preparing to attack al anas and al qaim

Al masdar news

BEIRUT, LEBANON (3:20 A.M.) – More than 1,000 foreign Islamic State (ISIS) terrorists have entered Syria via Iraq, the pro-opposition Syrian Opposition for Human Rights claimed on Thursday.

According to the report released by the pro-opposition group, the 1,000+ ISIS terrorists came from several countries in central Asia, including Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Tajikistan.

The terrorists entered the Deir Ezzor Governorate via Albukamal, which is the last crossing for the terrorist group between Iraq and Syria.

The SOHR report also claimed that more than 500 Islamic State terrorists had been killed in Syria over the past two weeks – this cannot be confirmed by Al-Masdar.

the syrian war has entered a treacherous new phase.

russia has directly accused the usa al-tanf project of functioning as a safe area and staging post for isis to attack sukhnah and quraytn and demanded to know how isis can operate so freely within areas under usa ownership

turkey after pushing in Ephshield proxies with a promise to fight nusra and gone back and made peace with nusra at the expense of conceding Ephshield some areas bordering Afrin. fighting nusra is never on cards for turkey, its the YPG they want to hit. a military unit of turkish army is now in northern Idlib, with no resistance from nusra.

urban battles ongoing in mayadin and dez.

syrians lack resources to close the long sukhnah-dez to sukhnah-T2 desert V shape area that isis stages from. a string of outposts for now to keep logistics to dez going.

a unit of isis crossed into north hama from east hama across SAA lines, bribed the nusra local emir to do so, then killed the emir and his boys, thrashed the rest and took over 12 villages. this little pocket is fate unknown for now.

RuAF controls the skies and prowls around, relentlessly bombing anything that runs, walks or crawls.

^^ still lot of isis in the deserts south of the above, through T2 and to albukamal. the black circle is a pocket that got chased north and is camped there.
lack of resources means there is no wide sweeping run PMU style across the desert like they did west of mosul to tal afar

this wedge of chocolate cake with sukhnah, dez and bukamal as three vertices is the remnant of the caliphate in syria.
small pocket near daraa, and the new north hama camp exist but not existential threats....

the jaish al islam / jaish fateh al sham continues to mount a successful defence in daraa and east ghouta. strong underground bunkers , weapons caches, human shields and smuggling networks.

the battles of al qaim and bukamal will signal end of isis in syria as elijah magnier predicted

reports that barzani kurds have let kurdish ISIS cadres from hawija take shelter in their areas after running away from the PMU advances from west and are keeping them either as cats paws or already folded them into auxiliary militias.

PMU badr and other units are steamrolling isis in that region, with isis emirs asking their men to run as fast as possible to kurdish lines

not much of real fighting, as isis is shying away from PMUs wrath

Iraqi army and pmu is busy scaring the life out of khan certified peshmerga . Sinjar has been abandoned and so has kirkuk

Al masdar

DAMASCUS, SYRIA (5:20 P.M.) – Moments ago, the Iraqi Armed Forces and Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) imposed full control over the city of Kirkuk after surrounding it from three flanks, thereby prompting a mass retreat by a Kurdish Peshmerga garrison that narrowly avoided being encircled.

Hundreds of Humvees, BMP-1’s and technicals could be seen rolling towards the city centre around noon after entering Kirkuk from the city’s western and southern gates, prompting a mass exodus of civilians trying to flee towards Kurdish-held territory along the highway.

In addition, the Iraqi Army and PMU have taken control of Kirkuk International Airport and the neighboring K1 Air Base, both of which are located directly west of the city.
