Re: Cricket

Steve Smith didn't do well on wickets that offered movement in England. Steve Smith's technique works because pitches and balls are being prepared without any movement. That being said, he must have extraordinary eye sight and hand eye coordination to be able to put bat to ball with his technique. ...

Crackdown on Karni Sena and lose the upper caste Rajput votes which forms part of the core upper caste vote bank for BJP? Not happening! Sure there is no election in Gujarat, but there are elections elsewhere including most important of all the 2019! I don't expect any action will be taken against t...

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - Oct 2017

One thing that makes me wonder if the significant silence on GST collections is deliberate. If the GST council is unanimously passing more and more rate reductions, it could mean that collections are exceeding projections and the states' initial apprehension about losing money may have been overcom...

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - Oct 2017

Is this Gallup poll bad news for 2019? Fewer Indians now feel they are thriving compared to 2014. https://www.forbes.com/sites/panosmourdoukoutas/2018/01/21/indians-are-worse-off-under-modi/#754ca07203bf ....only 3% of Indians consider themselves thriving in 2017 compared to 14% in 2014. Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - Oct 2017

NaMo does not take any "egging on" from anybody. He is doing what he had been doing in Gujarat for 15 years, and he says clearly that the people of Bharat will evaluate his "vikas" results in 2019. Interesting, so Modi does realize that pushing the goalpost to 2022 is not going to cut it with the v...

now when SC is insisting on Padmavat to be screened in all states striking down state ban, VRaje should say state's L&O is her priority and ban will continue. If court insists face contempt (if needed go to jail for few days) this will ensure Rajput a dominant caste stays loyal to her and jail dram...

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - Oct 2017

It seems Modiji has finally ordered Censor Board officers to clear Padmavat movie. The movie may be released in all except 3-4 states across India on 25-jan. I see it as another victory by BIF. There are "liberals" here who supported dance bar. So by their standards, release of movie should be seen...

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - Oct 2017

Wishful thinking on Minhaz Merchant part to think that Modi will appoint a Lokpal now, particularly when the 2019 is not too far in the future. If he wanted, he could have done it back in 2014 itself.

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - Oct 2017

NM has successfully broken the growing economy, I am sure given another term be will use his 'genius' to break something else as well. His only success to date has been winning UP elections for his party. That's not the only damage is he has done. In terms of results he has been quite lackluster so...

Why is the tail so long? There should be regular batsmen for either Pandya or Bumrah. Couple of quicks wickets and we could be bundled out for ~120.

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - Oct 2017

Looking back at Gujarat, could the farmer's crisis have been handled better? BJP could have easily retained its seats if it performed well in rural areas. Who dropped the ball on this one? Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - Oct 2017

I watched the BJP Dalit MP Udit Raj on TV. He said that the pride was not for collaborating with the British but was for the smaller rag tag Dalit army beating the mighty Peshwas. He said that if only the Peshwas had not discriminated against the Dalit and incorporated them in their military then Br...

Leaving aside noise by Pappu and his slaves, what exactly happened at the Dalit rally? From what I have heard on YT through BJP spokespersons, the burden of proof did rest with the prosecutors, but they were not appointed by this government although accountable to it. Two open and shut cases against the DMK and there is no conviction. But Madhu Koda, a congressi, gets convicted. At this rate I do not hold much hope for the RJB verdict to be in the favor of Hindus. :-(
Relax, RJB case is not with CBI's special court like this case was. Although I am not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing!
