GooPhone has, for the most part, completely lifted Apple’s design aesthetic of the iPhone X for their device, and then committed heresy by having it run Android. It features a 5.5-inch edge-to-edge display, packs a MediaTek MTK6580 chip, 1GB RAM, 16GB internal memory, and a 720x1280 HD display.
In addition to all this, GizChina reports that GooPhone has gone the extra mile, getting the Android 5.0 this device runs to instead show up as Android 7.0. It also display fake 4G LTE status indicators while only providing 3G service, and shows 64GB of memory when it only has 16 (though you can add a memory card).
It’s actually a pretty impressive con, especially considering the phone has what looks like a dual camera system, though it’s just a 8MP rear shooter and a 2MP lens on the front. A cheap budget Android phone with no guarantee of how long it’ll even run. But hey, if you want a cheap iPhone X clone you can wave around, the GooPhone X will only cost you somewhere in the range of $100 or Rs 6,500.
Just make sure you don’t let anyone close enough to inspect your prized “iPhone”.
I am sure people here have watched videos on Youtube where there will be a voice narration while the text is presented on a scroll/paper animation at the same time, the text is being auto-scrolled and bolded to match the sentences in the voice narration. Folks here with video editing experience, can you please let me know or find out which software is being used to create such effects? A friend wants to create such videos but unable to find out good video/image editing packages.

YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki was on vacation when Silicon Valley suddenly plunged into a bitter debate over sexism.
The now-infamous “Google memo,” written by engineer James Damore, argued against diversity initiatives at Google and said that female engineers were less capable of leading others.
Wojcicki, who was part of the team at Google that decided to fire Damore, recalled talking about it over dinner with her children, to whom she had always tried to promote diversity and equality.
“The first question they had about it [was], ‘Is that true?’” Wojcicki said on the latest Recode Decode, hosted by Kara Swisher. “That really, really surprised me, because here I am — I’ve spent so much time, so much of my career, to try to overcome stereotypes, and then here was this letter that was somehow convincing my kids and many other women in the industry, and men in the industry, convincing them that they were less capable. That really upset me.”

its a wasteland of targeted videos thats all.
maybe its a bit useful to multicast to family groups but thats it.

Maybe that's why FB bought WhatsApp. I still see the SDRE crowd use FB extensively - all PNPC, sniping type cultures will continue to use it I am sure.

Whatsapp being mainly on phone will see a exodus if they push ads there and goog or msft rolls out a non ad service. Tech wise its not a complex product

Apparently Google has updated its OS support policy for Pixel-2 phones (not sure if Pixel 2016 is covered). Pixel-2 phones will get 3 years of OS update support from Google. Also Pixel-2 (5" smaller phone) supposedly has poor colour calibration/output in spite of sporting an OLED screen. Google has acknowledged the issue and is actively "investigating".
Also, OS 11 is supposed to be the buggiest OS release by Apple so far. Still US teens/consumers prefer iPhone models over Android...LOL.

Looking at deals for Note now. note 8 at Best buy appears to be cheap with 300 off for old smartphones plus 100 more off with an FB coupon. Black Friday looks promising.
Folks tracking phone deals, please do share here. I'm actively looking because of passively holding the phone while taakoing a sundari (and chipping a corner) .

A PR fluff piece on Tony Fadell but nevertheless some interesting tidbits including as suspected Porat bibi's belt tightening at Chacha. The Mahdi act was just cruel.
i observe the middle class now avoid these junks and go with samsung or apple. even xiaomi and one plus are not so popular outside a narrow itvity munna segment which is a rounding error vs total market size.
You're correct about OnePlus but Xiaomi is huge. Like two digit percentage huge. Beats even Samsung.

Threshold reached after long contemplation. Women approached by founding partners of Draper Fisher Jurvetson should be careful. Predatory behavior is rampant. The modes are varied. Silencing behavior ranges from security w/in the firm creating files on women, to potential violations of revenge porn laws, to grotesque threats. Women have been banned by heads of TED from attending conferences. I have experienced some (not all) of these things along with many others. The situation I found myself in is personally atypical and I've not been in any other situation remotely like it. I was not seeking investment or trying to further my career. My investment rounds have occurred entirely outside of Silicon Valley both before and after this experience. I will not step foot in SV for investment.
