I guess opinion and exit polls will be embargoed in a few days. Irrespective of people's complaints on Dr. Braveen Badil, he will be the only source of ongoing election analysis and seat bredictions all through the 7 phases. I hope he shows seat-by-seat leads for all the 543 seats. That will be a lot more interesting.

Repeating it ad-nauseam is required when you repeat your comments ad-nauseum. Sitting in a distant land and singing praises for BJP/Modi is of no consequence, you don't even get to participate in the Indian democratic exercise. So perhaps, you should take your own advice and 'take my comments like a man'.

Also, I didn't predict LS seats that NDA would win, my figure was for BJP alone. You'd have noticed this if you focused on what I said, rather than get personal. It matters little whether you think it is insight or not, it is based on my interaction with locals across the country, not figures published by biased media (against one party or another) - opinion polls have been all over the place, with NOT one stating BJP alone will get 300+. If there is a poll out there that says BJP on it's own will get 300+, please do let me know.. I've not seen one, so you'll forgive me.

I am not claiming this to be scientific/model based, but purely on what I hear from people across the areas I have visited in the last few months. Is there a chance I will be wrong? yeah sure.. I'd like to be right though, not for my ego, but for the good of the country.

Phaltu baatein hain bhai...I am not in the least affected by your ongoing rants (how many years has it been now?). The fact of the matter is that my position has been consistent, open, and honest....it does not take great genius to differentiate that from "go where the wind is blowing" posts from (ahem) "BJP supporters".

Noone is affected by anything anyone says here. You give more importance to what people say here than is necessary. What you or I say here, one way or another has absolutely zero influence on anything in the real world. It's just a platform to state one's opinion, treat it as such.

So please, save us your constant sanctimonious whining. Feel free to ignore me. I'll do the same.

Here is a useful Wiki page with the complete NDA seat sharing arrangements plus the full continually updated candidate lists:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_N ... l_election

As I predicted earlier, BJP is contesting more seats than in 2014 (437 this time versus 427 in 2014).

The NDA (20 parties + 1 indep) is looking like a tight, well coordinated, and formidable force.

Let me be one of the first (if not THE first) to stick my neck out and say that BJP on its own will get around 310-330 seats. This is based on my travels across the country - 13 states/UTs.. only 7 weeks to go! The question is whether the want for modi will translate to votes, I believe it will..

JT Ji, I am glad your skepticism of yore has turned into such optimism for the BJP. On my brief visit to Delhi last month I too was impressed by the fervor I saw but then it was immediately after the Balakot strikes.

Nobody can be prescient enough to make an accurate prediction, but going by your own transformation (your heart has always been in the right place, your perception is what has changed), do you believe there is a Modi wave that is sweeping across the land again?

On a related note, has anybody seen the movie on Modi, I expect it to also have an impact. Waiting for it in our area.

havent watched the movie yet (dont know if it has even been released as of now), but am expecting it to have a decent to good impact. vivek keeps saying its an inspirational movie based on an inspirational story, and by the looks of the trailer, it seems to have been made well (the maker has 'Sarbjit' & 'mary kom' titles under him)....contrast that with 'my name is raga', a movie/parody that's also set to release shortly, albeit the catch is, its trailer released on april 1st. :rotfl:

Sam Pitroda seems to be desperately trying to become Mani Shanker Iyer for 2019. In Social Media his "Mary Antoniette" like comments are getting wide circulation.

More than the Modi wave, what is really driving this is an anti-INC (or rather anti UPA) wave that is of their own making. The more Modi is demonised, the better his prospects.

Institutions and Babu's are against him though. Relatives who work for state and centre.. and the majority of them prefer INC, as it allows them to make money freely. Seculars will never vote for him, asking them why, they say they he is "out to get them" (even though the is absolutely no evidence).

A lot of the raids happening now, should have happened a while ago. A lot of people I spoke to know Modi us 100% corruption free, but ask why he didn't put a single person behind bars.

There probably would have been a Modi wave in addition to the anti-INC wave if jetli was ejected from the finance ministry. A lot of the salaried class feel they've done nothing for them. And they aren't wholely wrong. The 'no tax up to 5lacs' is only applicable if you earn less than 5 Lacs. Even 1 rupee over that, and you are taxed at 5% between 2.5-5lacs. Jet li has created a lot of bad blood for Modi. I genuinely hope he is shunted to some obscure ministry after the election, if at all he has to be humoured.
On a related note, has anybody seen the movie on Modi, I expect it to also have an impact. Waiting for it in our area.
The movie hasn't been released. I believe the date for release is 10 Apr. But I suspect the opposition will do everything to prevent it from being released. Again, this will hopefully work to expose them.

Hi guys, about a week to go before the elections. One thing that has crossed my mind is really related to Andhra which is going to the polls as well. Really a choice here between two evils it seems. Funny enough, but a few years back I used to regard Chandrababu Naidu as a real champion for Andhraites. He really developed Hyderabad then managed to bring in quite a few of the IT companies. This whole thing regarding special status for Andhra has made me completely change my mind. Maybe I am biased towards Modi more, but I trust after seeing the figures really related to the amount of funds released to Andhra. With that being said, he completely tried to cloud the picture and now allying with Mamta and Owaisi just to garner votes against Modi has me completely turned against him.

Most likely, it seems that he will lose to Jagan Reddy after his yatra all across Andhra. Son of the previous YSR, I simply cannot understand the thought process of Andhraites in voting enmasse for this Bible carrying Christian. I recently heard another interview with Prannoy Roy on how he reads his Bible every night and yet goes on campaigning throughout the day. I have no doubt that the Bible forms a core part of his campaigning as well. His mom, has gone on multiple vital videos stating that state funds would be used to build up more churches and create a security blanket in terms of salary for bishops.
The thought of it completely boils my mind. Let's not even get started with Telangana, when it seems that it would be another clean sweep it there as well for the TRS. On another interview with Prannoy Roy, KCR was claiming that he would build two-bedroom houses for every underprivileged person who could not afford a house. When asked about state debt, he points to the US economy and its debt, quote "who cares about stupid debt"?

I mean the politics really completely bafffle me. Chandrababu Naidu was the son-in-law of NTR was a real cinema favorite especially for his mythological movies portraying Krishna. For all of that time that I grew up watching NTR movies, it seems now that another Christian would lead Andhra. I really hope that the BJP make some inroads this election but I really am doubtful. Hopefully I will create a video on the above in the next week.

On the India-aware news front, our social media groups especially Vote for Modi on Facebook seem to be doing quite well (3 lakh members). We have multiple moderators who are leading on the social media front. Also, we just changed the name of one of our other groups to Vote for Yogi (1 lakh ) members. For those who have Facebook, please try to influence posts if you can. To my view they seem quite well run. Suggestions always welcome. We have created quite a few videos as well. Please take a look at the YouTube channel. We recently interviewed another Kashmiri Pandit who speaks in favor of Modi and removal of article 370.
The website as well, as guided by the editor really is going quite hard against the Dynasty. We should be releasing a opinion video shortly against AAP. I'm hoping to bring out videos related to opposition, on a phase basis as well. We appreciate your support.
Please give me any suggestions and of course subscribe and share to get some of these opinions out into the general public.

My take on the CBN vs Jagan contest (X-post from BRF).

CBN has proved to be one of the most anti-national politicians in the country right now (and that's a tall order given who is currently the opposition).. his interviews with NDTV, where he is on record saying nobody died in Balakot and everything claimed by IAF & Modi was rubbish and his public meetings, where he is calling Modi as a "terrorist" or his Pulwama conspiracy theory that Modi killed Indian soldiers to justify a war with Pakistan, because "the blood thirsty Modi has in the past killed thousands of minorities in Gujarat", can never be excused. Their cadre had posted rabid pro-Pakistan and anti-Indian messages in social media, outright shamelessly. Amit Shah is right in saying, that even if he begs, CBN won't be allowed back to NDA. This guy is the worst politician in the country right now, I dare say even worse than Jihadi Didi - who at least was an open enemy all along. This guys is the proverbial snake that bit the hands that fed it. All because Modi govt started asking him for greater accountability on the funds it gave him.

I dont know if you are from AP, but his reign has been far worse than YSR's reign in terms of conversions and in general anti-Hindu practices. There are now Christmas celebrations in temple premises in Srisailam, one of the 7 jyotirlingas, by CBN appointed crypto-Christian administrative officers which is a matter of shame for Hindus, TTD jewelry being stolen is not yet closed. There are accusations of money being pilfered from TTD devasthanam as well. Money & offerings are being looted out of other big temples (Kanaka Durga Temple in Vijayawada) as well. Outright injustices & skewed secularism - where TTD exchequer was billed crores of money for requesting land in the new capital city for a hindu temple, but twice or thrice the amount of land was given out FREE OF COST to build mosques & churches. There are documented evidence of demolishing over 30 temples around Vijayawada area with no provision to respectfully relocate them to other regions, while going overboard in providing land & inaugurating new minority structures effected by land acquisition for capital city.

Jagan, a 4th gen christian, has been more subdued in his attack on Modi and has only confined criticism to special status, and more importantly hasn't made open anti-national statements like his opponent. Jagan is aware that he lost the previous term due to fear of his Christian background in Hindu majority, in fact some Hindus are still wary of this. But he is going overboard to prove he is not anti-Hindu: apparently he went through a 2 month daily Mahabharata parayanam routine to prove to Hindu seers that he is not anti-Hindu and get blessings from China Jeer Swamy... is apparently getting his nomination done as per Hindu calendar.. he has apparently promised to follow Hindu calendars and rule as advised on Hindu practice matters based on the Vaishnava seer's advice, if voted to power. Frankly, after the backlash he received on his Tirumala GOs, even YSR took better care of TTD & its sanctity than CBN has done in the past few yrs - all the TTD Dalit outreach programs that actually fought back against conversions among Dalits, were started during his reign after all.

Of course, it may all be a sham, who knows, but at least he isn't making anti-national statements or has done anti-Hindu activities like CBN... Hope we see Babu get his comeuppance for his perpetual backstabbing nature this time around.

That is correct. Election time is when the money is mobilized - the easiest time to launch targeted raids.

You are right in that the money will be slightly hard to come by. However, one needs to bear in mind that nothing has come of past raids.. A lot of people ask who has been sent to prison so far. And they is a fair question but the problem is that the judiciary is anti BJP, so they will do everything to help Inc.. cases against them never progresses.

A lot of money is now being transported on public buses. Private vehicles are under the threat of being searched. It's ridiculous

The BJP also knows this :). So looks like they are not really worried on charge sheeting the accused after the raids. I-T raids continue for second day against people linked to Kamal Nath, and the "seculars" are quite upset. Rs. 10 crore is now gone as the currency is seized, and this is not small money. And poor Kamal Nath would have to explain things to people . ‘PM Modi’s real surgical strike’: Kumaraswamy on I-T raid at minister’s home :). See the angst in the words of the poor man. And this is when his son is finding it tough in Mandya Dt., and there is a great "secular" fight going on in Mysore district as well (between JDS and INC). Reducing the stock pile of cash, plus "naming & shaming" is what would yeild results now. The court cases would naturally come in later, as the IT Dept has to logically conclude a case opened by them.

This is like smuggling. No one can guarantee a 100% identification of such money transport, plus successful raids and arrest. There would be some slips and there may be alternate cash dumps as well. But net-net, more such raids and seizure of case; more sadder is the case of the politician during election time.

ahmed patel's name is popping up in the IT raids. republic tv reported that AP is trying to block the raids.

----------------------------------------------------------

FoE champion, PYAAR ki political party has repeatedly been assaulting citizens & journalists in vinaashakaale frustration...a man assaulted in UP for questioning "why chowkidaar is a 'chor?!'", republic tv journos assaulted, journos snapping pics of empty chairs in a TN rally assaulted, news anchors threatened by congie spokies, congie spokies being rude to uncomfortable question asking audience in conclaves, congie spokie throwing water-glass towards BJP spokie in live debate, etc etc etc...and here comes fresh pyaar ki raajneeti from congoons, from B'luru on this Sunday:
Shocked with the terror unleashed by
@INCIndia
at Poorna Pragnya Vidyapeetha Bangalore where a Vishnu Sahasranama Yajna has been going on continuously for Rashtra. Congress goons kicked, beat up people, shouted anti-Modi & Rahul Gandhi Zindabad slogans. #CongressTerrorInBengaluru

What was meant to be a gathering of Dharmic scholars, musicians & writers became a scene of vandalism last evening at Vidyapeetha, Bengaluru. Congress goons shouted slogans against
@narendramodi
& physically assaulted the audience. Totally unacceptable!

https://twitter.com/singhsahana/status/ ... 19649?s=20
some commentators aptly wrote that this is just like the assault by raakshasas in Yajnas...and will attract kaarmic consequences!

Mandya is a lost cause as far as JDS or INC are concerned. Sumalatha will take it hands down. So much so she will help Mysore turn BJP too. Kumarswamy has lost this one, he knows it.

KA on the whole should yield 20-22 seats for BJP, minimum.

Pratap Simha won Mysore in 2014, and I think should win again. I don't think Sumalatha will be able to influence Mysore election. It has flipped back and forth between BJP and Congress but the INC candidate is a former BJP guy who contested and lost 10 years ago. It was close last time, 3% margin.

Any ground level reports from TN ? If 2 leaves party does well, it would be good for the overall political health of the state.

I was in Chennai last week and there is hardly any election related activity. No posters, no nukkad sabha, no autos blaring political messages..
We are seeing elections without MuKa or MGR or JJ for the first time in recent memory.
I believe we are seeing churning in Indian political ocean in 2019 and by 2024, many a thing would have changed including aging leaders, one man parties and role of emotive issues.

Rumours of Tom Vadakkan (the latest INC stalwart to jump ship and join BJP) is being the key person helping IT dept. organise raids on the "secular" camp. IT Dept even went on raids on the homes of staff at AICC  .

OmKar, thanks for your feedback. A lot of points for me to do more research on especially what is going on at SriSailam. Really a lot of disturbing points as your stated. Chandrababu Naidu is honestly as you have said it, a poisonous inland Taipan. Really a choice between two devils there.
Jagan may be some reform, but as the saying goes, the Apple does not fall too far from the tree. During the YSR Regime if I remember, a huge amount of energy went into church building. Part of his own family are evangelists. I briefly came across this article yesterday, and have yet to do more reading on this but more of a heads up ;

How Evangelism made Andhra an economic, cultural and spiritual ruin
http://indiafacts.org/evangelism-made-a ... tual-ruin/

KCR has promised a 10 crore Christian Bhavan and not to be outdone, Chandrababu Naidu has promised yet even more to build an even larger Christian Bhavan in the Guntur area. I simply cannot understand the mass conversion that seems to be ongoing to support such a large evangelical Mega Churches. I can only assume that this kind of funding has to come from US-based sources who are now closely linked to Andhra and Telangana.
In any case, perhaps I can do more research on this and bring it out as a regular feature on our website at India Aware as well. I will shortly bring out an interview regarding some of these points on our YouTube channel as well. Thank you for your input.
